EARTH DAY IN THE CITY OF CLIFTON - Car Ban Day to be kicked-off by Senator Nia Gill and Mayor Jim Anzaldi
EARTH DAY 2009 offers an unprecedented opportunity to commit to building a healthy planet, flourishing communities and empowered citizens. We commit ourselves to undertaking programs and projects that enhance the community’s natural environment, and we encourage our residents, businesses and institutions to use EARTH DAY to celebrate the Earth and commit to building a sustainable society.
Senator Nia Gill and Mayor Jim Anzaldi, with the Clifton High School Conservation Club, will kick off a “CAR-BAN-DAY” on Earth Day 2009 to educate the public about the importance of reducing our dependency on non-renewable fossil fuels, and to promote alternative methods of transportation that are healthy and protect our environment.
