Green Apple Festival
If you missed the 2007 Green Apple Festival in New York, Chicago and San Francisco, be sure to plan ahead for the festivals in 2008. For Earth Day 2008, we're expanding to 10 U.S. cities: San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, Dallas, Chicago, Columbus, New York, Atlanta, Miami and on the Mall in the nation's capitol, Washington, D.C!

The inaugural Hands On Earth Day events in New Orleans, Los Angeles, Buffalo, Phoenix and Portland, OR were such a success, we expanding our Earth Day school greening projects to even more U.S. cities in April, 2008. This partnership with Hands On Network is part of a larger EDN program to green all the schools in the country within a generation.

In preparation for Earth Day on the Hill 2008, EDN will partner with influential and important non-environmental membership organizations to educate and mobilize millions of Americans! We're seeking support for a positive economic growth/equity solution to global warming, starting with "no giveaways" on emissions permits and the establishment of a fund to prepare middle and working class communities to participate in the burgeoning green economy. In so doing, EDN and its network will continue to push for a new green America that will reap benefits for all people. For more information, see Earth Day on the Hill 2007.

We want 12,008 churches, synagogues and other places of worship around the world to mark Earth Day 2008. Until then, please sign our 2007 Pulpit Pledge and pledge to preach and teach about climate change.
